Project Accountant
Northeast Suburbs
$65,000 to $75,000 Starting Salary DOE
The Project Accountant position is responsible for various accounting functions in support of projects and the day-to-day general accounting activities. This person must have good communication and attention to detail as they will be working with our internal and external customers.
Key duties include:
- Inputs project budgets and material costs into company software.
- Creates, updates, and oversees Potential Change Item (PCI) and contingency logs.
- Approves and documents pay requests and material invoices.
- Obtains and monitors all payments, lien waivers and verifies that the information is accurate.
- Processes monthly client billings.
- Expense reporting and reimbursement
- Assisting in records management of company vehicles/equipment
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of related accounting experience
- Associates degree a plus
- Industrial, manufacturing, construction or related industry experience a plus
